Gia M. Hamilton

Gia M. Hamilton is the lead consultant at the C.R.E.E.D. Center. Gia has distinguished herself through working as a multidisciplinary artist, facilitator, and applied anthropologist specializing in holistic services and education. She has worked extensively with the homeschool population with groups like NYCHEA(New York Home Educators Alliance), BAHC (Brooklyn African American Homeschool Connection), and AERO (Alternative Education Resource Organization). She has also consulted for Downey Associates, United Nations International School, Educational Video Center, Leadership Learning Lab, Agenda for Children, International House of Blues Foundation, United Nations Immigrant Youth Panel, and The Caribbean Cultural Center.

In addition to numerous professional advances, Gia continuously serves the community that she lives in by being one of the founders and administrators of an independent cooperative school Little Maroons. Gia is also an active member of the International Association for Learning Alternatives. She has coordinated various arts in education programs for the New York City Public School System, augmented the book Educational Coup d'etat© available in the Fall of 2008, and shaped and taught progressive parenting workshops throughout the country.

Ms. Hamilton’s plan is to develop an intentional community of progressive multigenerational families to live, work and create change in their community together.
